Water Infrastructure Conference to be held in Flint on March 7-9

The Water Infrastructure Conference is being held March 7-9, at the Riverfront Banquet Center in Flint, Mich., co-sponsored by the City of Flint and State of Michigan.

The goal of the conference is to highlight water infrastructure issues, share lessons learned from the City of Flint and other cities around the country, and present new technologies and innovations to individuals involved in the operation, maintenance, design, management or administration of aging water works infrastructure.

Topics include right-sized and flexible water infrastructure to meet the changing needs of communities, as well as incorporating innovative and emerging technologies to solve complex infrastructure issues nationally.

The conference will help identify infrastructure solutions that may be applied to address the broad initiatives of Gov. Rick Snyder’s 21st Century Infrastructure Commission. By identifying sustainable, strategic, and affordable approaches, conference attendees can help address statewide infrastructure needs.

Attendees will include individuals involved in the operation, maintenance, design, management or administration of a municipal water supply and other water and wastewater infrastructure, as well as local elected officials and community leaders from around the country.
