High School Senior Signs Letter of Intent to Work for Fast Flow Plumbing

May 31, 2022

蒙哥马利县高中雅各。布拉德利signed a letter of intent to join Kentucky-based Fast Flow Plumbing after his graduation in May. According toWDKY, Bradley will join the plumbing company as an apprentice for two years as he works toward his journeyman's license.

“It’s just more of my style,” Bradley told another news source,WKYT, after signing with Fast Flow Plumbing. "I never really wanted to be an accountant or sit down. I enjoy working with my hands a lot."

Typically, a letter of intent ceremony is held when a student athlete announces where he or she will attend college.

"This is something that we have done several times for our athletes who are attending college upon graduation," MCHS counselor Lacy Gross told WKYT. "But this is something new here at Montgomery County High School, but I hope that this will continue."

If trends continue, the plumbing, heating, cooling and piping community may continue to see more of these ceremonies in the future. In 2019, the inauguralSkillsUSA National Signing Daytook place. Similar to Bradley's commitment, the annual event celebrates high school seniors and college/postsecondary students who have chosen to pursue a career as a professional in any of the skilled trades.
