接下来PHCPPros研讨会将处理干净Energy For Affordable Housing

May 7, 2020

Since launching in April, the PHCPPros special webinar series has kept readers educated and engaged in the face of COVID-19. Hundreds of attendees have logged on for the weekly webinars led by plumbing, heating, cooling, and piping professionals. The next webinar, "Passive House Clean Energy for Affordable Housing," will take place Monday, May 11, at 1:00pm(CST).

Led by Bruce Nagy, the webinar will address how can affordable housing projects can dramatically reduce operating costs and greenhouse gas emissions. Nagy will talk about building a Passive House standard like New York’s 674 unit Sendero Verde affordable housing complex in Harlem. He will address questions such as, "Does Passive House cost a lot more to build?"

The webinar will spotlight the massive New York project. It will also touch on: Bayside Anchor in Portland Maine, Orenco Station in Portland Oregon; Blossom Park in Woodstock, Ontario; and net-zero affordable housing projects in the Philadelphia area.

Nagy is a writer and speaker, and a columnist for Plumbing Engineer magazine who writes about clean energy, construction industry trends and future technologies. He is the author of The Clean Energy Age (Rowman & Littlefield) and more than 190 feature articles and magazine columns on clean energy technology, government programs and energy economics. In the past 18 years, he has interviewed hundreds of experts on clean energy solutions, and advises and writes for government leaders, international and technical journals, research firms, corporations, NGOs, and professional organizations.
