NFPA Cancels 2020 Conference & Expo

May 5, 2020
The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) has cancelled the 2020 NFPA Conference & Expo scheduled for June 15-18 in Orlando. The 2021 NFPA Conference & Expo is scheduled for the week of June 21, 2021, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. The association released the following statement regarding the events:
First and foremost, the ROC-NFPA team hope you and your family are safe and well.
We have heard from many of you and understand that COVID-19 is top of mind. We assure you, it has been top of mind for us too.
Although this is an important event for NFPA and its stakeholders, at this time, the world continues to be significantly impacted by COVID-19 and it will no longer be possible to host and conduct this event in Orlando in June. The wellbeing of our attendees, exhibitors, business partners and staff is of utmost importance to us.
ROC-NFPA LLC has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 NFPA Conference & Expo scheduled for June 15-18 in Orlando.
While we won't be able to come together in June, we are looking forward to seeing you and bringing buyers and sellers together the week of June 21, 2021, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.
We have a clear understanding of the value our exhibitors and sponsors provide. We want to encourage you to join us in 2021 when we will be celebrating NFPA's 125th anniversary. As a result, ROC-NFPA LLC will credit 100 percent of your 2020 booth fees, sponsorships and C&E marketing opportunities that have been paid toward the 2021 event.
Additionally,
  • The cost for booth space will not increase for 2021.
  • By choosing to participate in 2021 now, you will earn priority points over those who do not apply their 2020 credit to next year's event.
  • We will continue to market your company through the 2021 event.
  • Exhibitors requesting a refund, in accordance with the exhibit space contract, will receive a percentage of their 2020 booth fees.
In the coming weeks you will receive additional communication from us:
  • A statement outlining what your specific options are with your monies paid.
  • A detailed email outlining the space selection process for 2021, including your appointment time and 2021 floor plan.
Please feel free to contact any of our team members with any additional questions you may have orvisit our websitefor more information. We appreciate your patience while we navigated this unprecedented situation.
We look forward to working with you in preparation on the 2021 event.
Sincerely,
ROC-NFPA Team
